Development

The Honda Fury was announced in January 2009 and first delivered in May 2009. The development concept was to mass produce a motorcycle to appeal to the custom made chopper market. Based on the 1,312 cc (80.1 cu in) V-twin engine from the Honda VTX 1300, the Fury has an entirely original frame and bodywork. The Fury does not displace any models in the current Honda lineup. The rear wheel is driven using a driveshaft, mated to a five-speed transmission.
