Kodaira (小平市 Kodaira-shi) is a city located in the western region of Tokyo, Japan.
The city has an estimated population of 180,049 with 82,179 households and a population density of 8,800.05 persons per km² as of July 1, 2011. The total area is 20.46 km².
The city was founded on October 1, 1962.

Industry
The biggest employer in the area is the Bridgestone tire company.
Transportation
Kodaira Station is the main train station serving the area, however there are several other train stations in Kodaira. They are mostly operated by the private company Seibu Railway.

Universities
Tsuda College, Kaetsu University, Musashino Art University, Korea University, and parts of Hitotsubashi University, Waseda University (The oldest University in Japan) and an associated dormitory are located in this city.
