Hakusan (白山市 Hakusan-shi) is a city located in Ishikawa, Japan.
The city was founded on February 1, 2005 from the merger of the city of Mattō with seven towns and villages from Ishikawa District. As of April 1, 2008 population data, the city has an estimated population of 110,654 and a density of 147 persons per km². The total area is 755.17 km².
Kōji Omote, a popular and successful mixed martial arts fighter, lives and trains in Hakusan.
