The City of Broken Hill is the Local Government Area for Broken Hill, which is an isolated mining city in the far west of outback New South Wales, Australia, with a population of just under 20,000.

In January 2007, The Council was dismissed by the New South Wales Minister for Local Government following a public inquiry.
