Valentín Alsina is a city in the Lanús Partido of Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It is located next to Buenos Aires city in the Gran Buenos Aires urban area.
Together with Boedo, San Telmo and Nueva Pompeya, Alsina is known as a historical home of tango music. Also, and because of its rich history, Valentín Alsina is included as being among one of the 100 barrios porteños ('Buenos Aires city suburbs').
The city was named after politician Valentín Alsina.
